Dev Log – Week 1: Working with Blender

Week 1 Of Self Study(Modelling In Blender)
Completely new to blender, I watched the provided video from 107KIT on making a wooden barrel.
The Title of the video is called: Blender 2.8 How to Create a Wooden Barrel byStudio Kavod.
What I learned from the video is are short key cuts like a > u > unwrap > angle based which unwrap the model for texturing.
my current perspective of Blender is that is very difficult in the sense that there is to many short key cuts and overwhelming content to grasp but in the growth mindset of things consistence is the answer to this.
What i hate the most about Blender is that the texture does not save with the model so you have to save the twice.

Self study: Modelling of Tasmanian Tourist Attraction.
After the barrel i i started embarking on my tourist attraction which is the Wrest Point Hotel because it look easy to make. The first thing i did was search up a picture Wrest Point Hotel and started counting the vertices and amount of window the building have.
- Wrest Point is Cylinder shape building with 16 vertices
- in one set of vertical row of the building it has 17 windows
the picture i used to count the vertices and windows:https://www.flickr.com/photos/hwmobs/51280548601
The first model of Wrest point Hotel. I tried mirroring but it wasn't what i expected so i manually cut and stretch my desired model. pretty sure there is a faster way of doing this.
fun fact in gambling is 50:50 you either win or you don't(do not qoute me).
I add a second cylinder for the roof.
Grouping things and coloring makes the process of coloring a ease
What i learned is that i might just be the the Ui and Programmer of the Group>
